Is my home monitored 24 hours a day?
Yes. Your system stays connected to a UL-listed central station every hour of every day, including holidays. Whether an alarm trips at noon or at three in the morning, it is seen and acted on right away.
What actually happens when my alarm goes off?
The signal reaches the central station, where an operator works to verify whether it is a real emergency. If it is, they dispatch the police, fire, or medical help your situation calls for. If you have added alarm response, a Desert Alarm officer also comes to your home to check on things in person.
How much does monitoring cost?
Monitoring starts with a free base package that includes a 2Gig self contained panel with a built in siren, sensors, and a motion detector, with no setup or activation fees (a 2 year agreement required). From there you can add equipment and services to fit your home. Ask us about discounts for military, first responders, and seniors.
Do I need a landline for my alarm to work?
No. Your system communicates over cellular and internet connections, so a landline is not required. This also means a burglar cannot disable your monitoring by cutting a phone line outside the house.
Can I check on my home while I am away?
Yes. Through Alarm.com you can arm and disarm your system, view your cameras, and get alerts on your phone from anywhere. For the many Valley homeowners who travel or spend part of the year elsewhere, this is one of the most-used features.
